Chevy got a nice reminder of how easy it is to upfit their new medium-duty 2019 Silverado when they dropped off a truck with Monroe Truck Equipment.
“When we sent Monroe a chassis, we thought it would take a couple of months for them to upfit,” Ed Peper, vice president of GM Fleet, said. “Three days later after we sent them the chassis, they had the product done for us.
“They were so happy with the upfitability of the truck,” Peper continued. “And the fact that we have a straight frame all the way along that’s unencumbered was so important to the upfitters. The upfitability of this truck is one of the strengths that it has.”
In the video below, Peper and John Schwegman, GM’s director of commercial product and medium duty vehicles, talk about the other strengths of their new medium-duty line-up which began rolling out to dealers last month.
