Morgan Corporation has announced the availability of the new ProStake Stake and Platform truck body, as well as a new selection of dump bodies.
The new ProStake product line features rugged construction and more than 30 product enhancements, engineered to meet and exceed the needs of today’s service-industry providers, including landscapers, contractors, maintenance crews and suppliers, the company says.
Standard features for the ProStake Stake and Platform bodies include an optimized bulkhead configuration as well as re-designed mudflap and fuel fill supports; options also include toolboxes, tarps, and cab extensions.
Bodies range from nine to 16 feet and offer a choice of flatbed or rack configurations as well as a wide range of optional and industry-specific features designed to make the operator’s job easier and more efficient. Conscientious design features include a bulkhead punch window and cab extension, and bulkhead gussets that are engineered to provide strength, durability and added protection for the cab, Morgan says.
A swing rack design eliminates the need to lift and remove heavy gates in order to load or unload. Racks swing a full 270 degrees, and can be secured to the siderails for loading and unloading. Heavy-duty tropical hardwood flooring is standard on all flatbed bodies, and offers natural shock absorption, weather and insect resistance.
Optional smooth steel flooring is also available.
Standard three-inch I-beam frame construction adds superior strength and durability. Strategically positioned cross-members (16-inches on center) add to that strength, while keeping weight to a minimum for better fuel efficiency. A standard, heavy-duty rub-rail helps to protect the flatbed frame and side rail pockets from minor impacts.
A deep pocket design provides solid seating of rail stakes for easy load securing for transport, and easy rail removal for loading and unloading. An industry-standard 2-inch receiver tube for hitch or pintle plate configurations is available, plus a variety of bumper options and ready-to-use molded harness and sealed plug-together connectors. These “universal design” features, including standard LED body clearance and ID lighting, make specifying and replacing components fast and simple. Options include cab extensions, stake racks in galvanized steel or black powder-coat, and double-acting electric hoists.
Morgan’s new dump bodies (class 3-5) are rugged and durable bodies that provide ideal service to landscapers, nursery owners and contractors, the company says. They’re strong enough and tough enough to haul everything from boulders to base, soil to slag, and masonry sand to mulch. A 12-gauge steel bulkhead and optional Over-cab Extension provide superior protection for cab and crew. The exclusive mesh cut window extends safety outside of the cab by offering better visibility to the side and rear.
Morgan’s optional Pull-Tarp eliminates the need to carry loose tarps and straps to secure the load. Easy to deploy and easy to retract, the Pull-Tarp saves time and money; and is compliant with the U.S. Department of Transportation. Mounting the hitch plate, mud-flaps, anti-sail braces, fuel and diesel exhaust fluid-fill ports, and optional under-body toolbox to the body provides superior strength and stability. Five-inch structural steel longrails, three-inch crossmembers positioned 12-inches on-center and a 10-gauge steel floor provide strength and long-lasting dependability.
Standard features include a double-acting electric hoist, a quick release tailgate, double wall construction, and an aerodynamic cab shield. A rugged understructure provides rigidity and long service life, and a DuPont Imron Elite paint finish provides an attractive, high-gloss automotive quality finish with unmatched durability to protect the owner’s investment from the elements. Available options include hitches, toolboxes, and more.
