A box truck carrying scrap metal exploded on a Los Angeles street Friday night.

No injuries were reported after the cabover’s rear body was caught on video blowing apart in a fiery and dramatic scene. The truck had been in traffic in Boyle Heights at the time. At least one witness reported seeing windows blown out on nearby vehicles.

The explosion sent scrap metal in the back of the truck flying in all directions including at a gas station close by. The station was evacuated and shut down as a precaution.

Los Angeles police believe the explosion was an accident caused by a propane tank that had been in the back of the truck. The driver and passenger of the truck were detained for questioning, according to abc13.com.
