At SEMA 2017 in Las Vegas on Tuesday, Pirelli unveiled an upgrade and replacement for its Scorpion ATR tire.
Ian Coke Pirelli’s Chief Technical Officer says the new Scorpion All Terrain Plus combines the company’s advanced compound and design technology with an aggressive appearance “to provide light truck and SUV owners with a durable, high performing driving experience through a wide range of challenging on or off-road conditions.”
Pirelli says an all-new tread pattern increases durability, traction and wear resistance while offering balanced performance in various on and off-road conditions.
The three-peak snowflake rated tires feature a high resistance to cutting and chipping and deep tread grooves with conical stone ejectors.
The new Scorpion All Terrain Plus tire will be available in various 16 inch, 17 inch, 18 inch and 20 inch sizes, with deliveries in the first half of 2018. Examples of planned fitments include the Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma and Dodge RAM 1500, Pirelli says.
