Andrew Hoit, vice-president of sales and marketing at Tireco, talked with us recently about the company’s growing commercial and consumer tire lines.
The Steelpro line, sold under Tireco’s Milestar brand, offers tire options for heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles including the growing segment of unibody vans where size and load capacity may miss the mark. That’s where Hoit says Milestar’s MS597S comes into play.
“All the different brands—Ford Transit, the Nissans, the Sprinters—this tire covers all of those. It comes in the extra load rated with a 40,000-mile treadwear warranty. It covers the weight,” Hoit explained. “That’s what is so often missed in those Sprinter tires when they go for replacement. A lot of people make the size, but not necessarily in the load capacity. We cover all those in the MS597S.”
Hoit also shows us the company’s latest light truck tire, Patagonia.
