Cummins releases mobile app for Connected Diagnostics

Cummins announced today that its new Connected Diagnostics mobile app links users directly to the Cummins diagnostic system which will provide engine status reports and support.

The mobile app operates with both Apple and Android operating systems, and is available to registered commercial users of Connected Diagnostics.

“Our aim was to design a mobile app that was easy to use while providing the power of genuine Cummins information and expert guidance to our customers,” says John Malina, executive director of product connectivity.

“The Connected Diagnostics mobile app delivers this and more by categorizing and displaying all registered equipment by fault. This app supports Cummins goal to build value, reduce downtime and increase customer productivity through the power of Cummins.”

The Connected Diagnostics mobile app complements Cummins popular fault monitoring application by providing features such as a status page listing the customer’s connected equipment, and is organized by the engine system’s current fault code status. A convenient count reference displayed on each status tab provides current information on overall fleet health at a glance.

A navigation feature displays the complete Connected Diagnostics fault notification report, including a derate notification banner, prioritized fault codes and the suggested root cause of the fault.

Hyperlinks are provided to the nearest Cummins service location and Cummins Care contact information in order to enable connection to certified Cummins engine support.

Cummins reports that search capability and equipment activity status based upon telematics connectivity further enhances the value of the app.
