For the past 27 years, Chicago landscaper Christy Webber has become known for her red, Chevy trucks.

Webber’s red Silverados, which include 1500s, 2500s and 3500s, have become a regular sight around The Windy City. They’ve been spotted at landmark jobs, including cutting grass at Millennium Park and plowing the parking lot at Soldier Field.

“My first work truck was a red 1989 Chevrolet that I bought upon graduating from college when I decided to start this business,” says Webber, CEO of Christy Webber landscapes. “That’s why the entire fleet is bright red: it’s the color of my business.”

Webber wants her fleet of red Chevrolet Silverados to get noticed as they provide landscaping design, construction and maintenance programs to clients throughout Chicago. Chevrolet Cruzes are also in her fleet.

Webber uses what she’s learned with her vehicles to move her landscaping business forward. By knowing what type of upfits work best, for instance, it’s her hope that other companies will realize the benefits of doing work the right way so that everybody wins.

“We are a trade. We are real. We do something that is very valuable to America,” says Webber. “And to have the right equipment makes it easier and better in our bottom line.”
