It’s not often that you get to see a pickup pulling a big-rig out of the snow.

Fortunately, a news crew in Rochester, New York just happened to be nearby when they caught the tire-spinning action this week on a snow-filled Interstate 490.

Reporter Cristina Domingues from Time Warner Cable News was out interviewing drivers who had gotten stuck in snow-covered traffic when she came across a man in his pickup who was getting ready to try and pull a tractor-trailer out of the snow.

Domingues and her camera crew caught the action on video as Chris Johnson used his four-wheel-drive F-Series Super Duty to pull the semi free from the snow.

Johnson, a welder from Byron, N.Y., explained that he was trying to help clear the road so that snow-plows could get through.

In perhaps one of the more memorable auto endorsements caught on tape, when Johnson was asked how he thought his truck could handle pulling the big-rig, he smiled and said, “It’s a Ford.”

To be fair, a quick search on YouTube for ‘pickup pulling semi’ revealed approximately 30,000 related videos. One below shows a Ram pickup pulling a semi from a snow-filled ditch. To date, the video has garnered 1,075,834 views and 357 comments.
