We’re about a month away from Titan’s Cummins-powered XD hitting dealership lots, but this week at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas we got an upclose look at a premium edition.
The Platimum Reserve Titan XD features tons of interior and comfort upgrades.
A two-toned leather-wrapped shift knob accented by a dark chrome trim finish gets relocated to the steering column, giving way to a massive center console.
The instrument panel is detailed with wood-toned accents, a soft-touch dash and a dark chrome finish along the side and center vents. The Titan XD instrument cluster also has a high-resolution 5-inch screen.
Ergonomic knobs in the Platimum Reserve Edition are larger and deeply grooved so they are easy to use while wearing work gloves.
An integrated trailer brake controller is mounted on the center dash. The centrally-located, full-color 7-inch NissanConnect display serves up navigation, entertainment and communication features while doubling as an Around View Monitor that helps you maneuver into tight spots, or hook-up and park your trailer with ease.
The Nissan Intelligent Key lets drivers unlock the truck by tapping a button on the door handle while your keys stay in your pocket. When TITAN XD detects the key inside the vehicle, all you have to do is push the start button.
Storage features and power sources are placed throughout the cabin, and the seats feature a premium, plush leather.
This isn’t some package add-on that only gets an upgrade on the sticker price. This is a true luxury pickup, with a lot of comfort and tech upgrades. Titan XD Platinum Reserve features components from the company’s own 50-plus piece accessory line-up.
