Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Gets a Little Brother
The new 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is the world’s first EcoBoost-powered sports truck.
A smaller, lighter sibling to the popular 4Ă—4 Ford Raptor, the Tremor addresses the need of street truck enthusiasts looking for high-performance V8 power with V6 fuel economy.
The short-wheelbase, regular-cab Tremor goes on sale this fall, coupling the style of the FX Appearance Package with an EcoBoost engine. The new model also includes a 4.10 rear axle for fast launches and quicker trailer-towing acceleration.
Ford’s Tremor features crafty, flat-black accents that include 20-inch flat-black wheels, stylized bodyside graphics and black badges with red lettering.
The Ford Tremor offers customers features typically found in the aftermarket, giving them a distinct performance truck that looks as good as it sounds.
The Ford Tremor provides the basic needs of any pickup owner with additional high-performance capabilities and fuel economy. Other features include:
- 365 horsepower at 5,000 rpm on regular fuel
- 420 lb.-ft of torque at 2,500 rpm
- Twin independent variable camshaft timing for improved performance and fuel economy
- Up to 90 percent peak torque available from 1,700 rpm to 5,000 rpm
