Time is running out for professional contractors to enter the ProPickup Magazine “Big Red” project giveaway. Register to win!

Big Red is a fully customized 2008 GMC Sierra 3500HD Crew Cab SLE Dually 4×4 powered by a tuned 6.6L Duramax diesel. All entries for the ProPickup Magazine Big Red sweepstakes must be received before April 1, 2013.

Big Red features an extensive list of components and modifications designed specifically to make a contractor’s workday with this truck more productive, efficient and enjoyable. One of the major additions to Big Red is Fleetwest’s innovative Load ‘N’ Go Powerbody.

The universal design of the Load ‘N’ Go makes it easy to move from truck to truck, leave it on a jobsite, or drop it at the shop, freeing up the truck for other duties.

What makes the Powerbody nice for the Big Red project is the inclusion of Vanair Air-N-Arc 1500 welder/compressor/generator combination.

Vanair’s control panel is conveniently located in the front driver’s-side compartment so the future owner won’t have to crawl up into the service body bed to fire up the compressor, generator or welder.

Additional security measures include BOLT Locks. Designed to increase security and convenience, BOLT Locks feature a patented, breakthrough One Key Lock Technology that allows users to permanently program the company’s variety of locks to work with a vehicle’s ignition key, eliminating the need for multiple keys.

BOLT also supplied a Receiver and Cable Lock for the Big Red project truck.

When an ignition key is inserted into the BOLT lock cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key.

Remove the key and the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it rotates to the unlocked position.

Every compartment door, Padlock, Cable Lock and Receiver Lock works with the ignition key in ProPickup’s Big Red because of BOLT’s technology.

Big Red‘s extensive list of modifications also includes a Cognito six-inch lift kit, 22-inch Combat forged-aluminum wheels from American Force wrapped by 35 × 12.50 R22 Toyo Open Country M/T tires with heavy-duty Fab Fours bumpers mounted front and rear.

Mile Marker winches are also behind each bumper.
