SSBC Performance Brake Systems tri-power replacement front brake kit maximizes heavy pickup’s stopping power
Stopping HD diesel pickups, like those with heavily loaded service bodies, can be a challenge for the OE braking system. Add in larger tires and the bigger rolling mass compounds the braking issues.
The bulk of the braking effort is handled by the front rotors and calipers.
That’s why SSBC Performance Brake Systems focused their attention on maximizing braking forces up front with their new Big Brake kit (#A126-66).
The Big Brake kit centers around tri-power HD calipers and 14.5″ Big Bite cross drilled rotors designed for HD pickups running 20-inch wheels or larger.
Designed with maximum clamping force and even pressure distribution across the brake pad, the billet aluminum rotors provide excellent braking and heat dissipation.
Components are coated with a clear anodize for maximum corrosion resistance both internally and externally.
Replacement pads are available off the shelf at your local parts store. Try SSBC slotted and plated for the perfect match. Most kits are available with optional red and black powder-coat and polishing.
