GM Launches ‘Business Elite’ Dealers for Fleet Customers

Replaces ‘Business Central’ program for small and midsize businesses; dealers provide priority sales and service for life of the vehicles purchased

Owners of small- to mid-size businesses who have fleets from 1-100 vehicles can now take advantage of  a new sales and service program at 469 Chevrolet and GMC dealerships starting immediately.

The program is called Business Elite and it gives business owners priority sales and service, including work-ready loaner vehicles, priority hours, around-the-clock towing, and special business financing and leasing options.

The Business Elite program, according to GM, is designed to provide the country’s estimated 400,000 small-to-mid-size businesses with the industry’s best sales and service experience from the time they enter the dealership through the lifecycle of the GM vehicles they purchase.

“We asked our customers what they want and need from their commercial vehicle provider and we redesigned our business model around their feedback,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president of Fleet and Commercial Sales.

“Our dealerships have embraced the increased requirements and we have a record number of participating dealers meeting the strict qualifications.”

Business Elite dealers offer a team of expert sales consultants to help customers select the right vehicles for the job. They stock a diverse lineup of vehicles that are ready for sale at a moment’s notice.

Every Business Elite service department has the facilities, tools, equipment and certified technicians to accommodate business customer’s specific needs.

“We continue to raise the bar and improve our customer experience to ensure that we are the preferred vehicle partner for commercial customers,” Peper said.

In January, GM Fleet and Commercial launched the Business Choice program for small businesses, an industry-first two-year, 30,000-mile business maintenance plan, in addition to a cash allowance for vehicle accessories or upfits.

The maintenance plan covers lube, oil and filter changes; tire rotation; and a 27-point inspection. Eligible vehicles include cargo, passenger and cutaway vans, chassis cabs, 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups and the Chevrolet Avalanche.
