Nissan Workers Donate to Hurricane Sandy Relief

NISSAN CANTON DONATES TO LOCAL FAITH-BASED EFFORT TO SUPPORT VICTIMS OF HURRICANE SANDY

Employees return the favor helping those who supported Mississippi in Katrina aftermath

Employees at Nissan’s Canton (MS) plant donated $20,000 and vehicle support to a local faith-based effort to provide relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

In addition to the financial support, Nissan employees will use vans and trucks manufactured at the Canton plant to pick up donations, including clothing and other items, throughout Metro Jackson.

This event comes on the heels of Nissan’s recent announcement that it will provide employee discounts and special financing to anyone impacted by Hurricane Sandy in FEMA designated areas now until Jan. 2, 2013.

Nissan also is offering payment extensions to eligible customers.
