Transamerican Auto Parts Welcomes Jim Jackson As Its New International Sales Director
COMPTON, CA OCTOBER 24, 2012
Transamerican Auto Parts Company (“TAP”) is pleased to announce that Jim Jackson will become its first International Sales Director, effective October 29th.
Although his duties will include extensive traveling, Jim will be based at TAP’s headquarters in Compton, California.
Jim is well known and highly regarded in the automotive aftermarket accessories industry. For the past 23 years (1989-September, 2012), Jim served as the President of ARB USA/Air Locker, Inc., in Renton, Washington.
From1983-1989, he served as International Sales Manager for Warn International, in Seattle, Washington.
His background also includes experience as a Sales Representative for Lanier Business Products in Milan, Italy, from 1982-1983. Jim also worked as a Teacher, Teacher Trainer, and Curriculum Developer for the Seattle Public Schools, from 1974-1980.
Jim’s education includes a Master’s Degree in International Management from the Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Jim met his wife, Fiona, while they both attended graduate school. They have a 17 year-old son, Ian.
The Jackson family is very well-traveled around the globe: Jim has been to 60 countries; Fiona has been to 35 countries; and Ian has been to 26 countries. In addition, wife Fiona and son Ian have citizenship in the United States; Canada; and Great Britain.
Jim and his family plan to move to the Los Angeles area next year.
