Bugs are one thing, but turkeys?

Dash cam video below shows the fowl-brained moment Wednesday when a turkey flew through a truck’s windshield on I-75 about 50 miles south of Tampa, Fla. in Sarasota County.

The driver wasn’t hurt and the bird, which crashed through the passenger side of the windshield, survived, according to wfla.com. The driver drove the truck back to the shop with the addled turkey at his side. The bird was last seen waddling away from the truck.

Benjamin Franklin, who thought the turkey to be a noble creature, had pushed for its adoption as the national bird. Admittedly, this is the first time that we’ve heard of a turkey crashing through a windshield. Is the bald eagle above such antics?
