AMP Electric Vehicles, an electric drive motor vehicle manufacturer, says its all-electric E-100 heavy-duty truck has been approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as a zero-emission vehicle and is eligible for sale in California for the 2014 model year that began last month.
“We believe this is a major milestone towards bringing our E-100 truck to market in the state that leads the country in the adoption of zero-emission and low-emission vehicles,” Steve Burns, CEO of AMP Electric Vehicles, Inc. says.
The AMP E-100 can haul 19,500 lbs. when fully loaded with a range of 100 miles on a full battery charge.
“Designed especially for the package delivery market, the E-100 sets a new standard in cost efficiency and performance for fleet operators,” AMP president Martin Rucidlo adds.
Founded in 2007, AMP is focused on the electrification of fleet vehicles, including medium-duty class 3-6 trucks and vans.
