Ford and Toyota took home top truck awards at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week.
SEMA’s Full-Size Truck of the Year is the Ford F-Series while the Toyota Tacoma is the Mid-Size Truck of the Year, a new award that SEMA introduced this year at its popular trade show.
Several F-Series trucks are on display this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center including a Hellwig F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid, BTR F-150 Tremor, Hypertech F-150 Hybrid Lariat, Addictive Desert Designs F-150 Raptor, Advanced Accessory Concepts F-250 Super Duty Tremor and MAD Industries F-450 Super Duty Platinum. Toyota brought memorable examples of the nation’s top-selling mid-size truck including the Tacozilla Tacoma Camper, Tacoma Overlanding Concept and TRD Sport Trailer built from Tacoma pickup bed. Scroll down for photos.
Toyota also won Sport Compact of the Year for its GR Supra. Both awards mark the first time the automaker has taken home SEMA’s top honors.
“The SEMA Awards honor the most customizable vehicles in the industry,” said Lisa Materazzo, group vice president of Toyota Division Marketing. “With only five categories this year, we are thrilled to take home not one but two awards. Both Tacoma and GR Supra have loyal fan bases who like to push the limits with unique customizations, making SEMA the perfect laboratory to explore what is possible.”
