Auto Crane has unveiled two new hydraulic service cranes designed to work on class 5 mechanics trucks.

When combined with the newly re-designed heavy-duty outriggers on Auto Crane’s Titan 38 workbody, the company says its HC-8 delivers a full 8,000 lbs. of lift at a 49,000 ft-lb. rating on a Ford F-550, Dodge 5500 or similar chassis.

The HC-7, when mounted on a Titan crane body, will deliver a full 7,000 lbs. of capacity in all positions at a 38,000 ft-lb rating on the Ford F-550 or similar chassis, the company says.

Matt Collins, Product Manager for Auto Crane, says the HC-7 and HC-8 are the first entries in what will be a new family of higher lifting capacity cranes designed to safely deliver more capacity and less complexity in the same package.

The new crane series features the NexStar II crane control technology so operators don’t have to manually adjust load calculations across the range of the crane. NexStar automatically stops the load at 100 percent of rated capacity for any given situation, with no operator guesswork.

The HC series joins the recently launched 12006H crane in Auto Crane’s stable of mobile service cranes geared for the demands of construction, mining, and other heavy commercial uses.
