The driver of the tractor-trailer in the video slows down, but it’s too little too late as his trailer strikes an overpass in New York City.
No injuries were reported, though traffic was shut down following this morning’s collision on FDR Drive south of 96th Street in Manhattan. Big rigs are not permitted on FDR Drive because of low clearance heights, according to Fox 5 NY. Hmmm…do you think the person recording the action knew what was coming?
This is why they say no trucks on the FDR Drive. A tractor-trailer carrying carrots slammed into the overpass on the southbound lanes just south of 96th St. in Manhattan. The crash occurred just before 7 a.m. and caused the trailer to collapse. There were no reports of injuries. (Video credit: Gregg Bx)http://www.fox5ny.com/news/241244085-story
