Following an opening day visit to the Emerald Coast Cruizin’ Car and Truck show on Thursday in Panama City Beach, Fla., Hard Working Trucks went back on Saturday and found more classic trucks on display.
Trucks that were once tough workhorses are now getting second lives as serious show trucks. A few standouts are featured below. Scroll down for the gallery.
Chances are you’ve never seen a blown 1965 Chevy C10. Neither had Ron Parrish of Robertsdale, Ala. As if 827 horsepower wasn’t enough out of a small block 408, Ron opted for nitrous which pushes this pickup to over 1,000 ponies. Check out additional photos in the gallery below.
Ron Spink of Crazy Cruisers in Panama City Beach brought his 1933 Ford with a high-output 302. Ron said the truck’s sports car-like handling is owed to its independent suspension and an axle out of a Nissan 300ZX. Meticulous pin striping comes from Kentucky-based Killer Design.
The oldest pickup HWT could find at the show was a 1930 Ford courtesy of Robert Sutton of Lynn Haven, Fla.
The chrome work here on this 1954 Chevy 3100 attracted a lot of attention. It was tough trying to get a shot without someone stopping to take a look! And really…who could blame them?
