The 5.0-liter equipped 2018 Ford F-150 just got a lot more interesting thanks to Whipple Superchargers.
We found a video posted this week from Whipple showing one of their supercharged 2018 F-150 Coyote trucks on a dyno.
The numbers are pretty staggering. The Stage 2 F150 50-state legal SC System takes Ford’s stock 5.0-liter from 321 to 606 horsepower. Torque shoots up from 338 to 501 foot-pounds.
In the comments section, YouTube viewer RC Sask asks if anything else was done to the truck to deliver that kind of power.
“Nope,” Whipple responds. “This is 100% stock, even stock mufflers.”
Whipple recommends running 91 octane or higher. Expect to pony up $8,200. Current lead time is around 3 to 4 weeks.
MK Tech posted a test drive video two days ago. We’ve included that below. MK has been in Dearborn, Michigan this week where he was given the enviable chance to drive a Whipple charged 2018 F-150 for a day. Fast-forward to 4:31 to hear the engine and shortly thereafter watch it accelerate down a road.
