At just more than 350 pounds, held back by a more rigid, high-strength frame, the aluminum-infused weight savings on the 2017 Ford Super Duty certainly weren’t eye-popping.
But Ford says the new steel frame is 24 times stronger than the 2016 model, and well worth its weight in steel for the company’s flagship work truck.
Just how strong is high-strength? The company suspended nine F-150s (more than 60,000 pounds) from one to prove it.
