2017 Ram 2500 HDThis Labor Day weekend the Ram Truck Experience off-road test track will be up and running at the Michigan State Fair in Novi, Mich.
Ram Truck, the presenting sponsor of the fair, is inviting fair goers to “experience the power, capabilities and performance of the award-winning Ram truck lineup.”
Ram’s test tracks have proven popular at prior events, including the Chicago Auto Show in February where people lined up to experience Ram pickups in action at the Ram Truck Territory Test (see video below).
“A 20-minute line turned into a two-hour line,” Jim Morrison, head of Ram, told HWT. “What really warmed my heart was seeing customers get back in line and do it again. It’s a good testament to the passion of the truck customers and really.”
Morrison said the 24,000-square foot indoor track won over more customers to the brand.
“We had the best attention to the Ram Truck brand that we’ve ever had,” he said.

The Ram Truck Experience at the Michigan State Fair will be open all five days of the fair from August 31 to September 4.
Participants will be given rides with a performance driver in Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks. The experience includes an obstacle course that demonstrates the various truck capabilities, including a 30-degree wedge to demonstrate traction; rocks and logs to demonstrate articulation and stability; bumps to demonstrate suspension; and a Ram Mountain to demonstrate the ground clearance, approach and departure angles.
Ram recently signed a three-year contract to be the presenting sponsor of the Michigan State Fair.

There is no additional fee for State Fair attendees to participate in the experience.
