Some Ram Headlamps Don’t Meet Regs
Chrysler Group will recall approximately 1,200 heavy-duty pickup trucks to ensure that the headlamps comply with regulations when in high-beam mode.
An internal investigation by Chrysler Group engineers discovered some vehicles were assembled with headlamps whose high beams may not comply with standards governing aim and intensity. Chrysler Group will update the software that controls headlamp function, at no cost to customers.
Chrysler Group is unaware of any associated accidents injuries or complaints.
The recall is limited to certain 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 models equipped with premium headlamps. Approximately 1,100 are in the U.S., 170 are in Canada and 15 are outside the NAFTA region.
Affected customers will be contacted directly. Questions or concerns can be addressed by calling (800) 853-1403.
