TCI Transportation, a California-based truck leasing company, recently announced its order for 50 Tesla Semis.
Headquartered in Commerce, Calif. near Los Angeles, TCI has a fleet of over 2,000 trucks and operates full service facilities in Commerce, Bakersfield, Fontana, Stockton, Freemont, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Total reservation price for a Tesla Semi is $20,000 ($5,000 by credit card followed by a wire transfer of $15,000 within 10 days; subsequent reservations require a $20,000 wire transfer in addition to the $5,000 credit card payment.)
If cash isn’t much of an issue, then consider the Founder Series Tesla Semi. Following the $5,000 credit card payment, a wire transfer of $195,000 must be made in 10 days to complete the reservation.
Tesla reports that the Semi, which is slated for production in 2019, can travel up to 500 miles fully loaded.
