Hino Trucks & Hino Motors Manufacturing marked the relocating, and combining of, their corporate offices with a recent groundbreaking ceremony for new corporate headquarters in Novi, Michigan.

Slated to complete construction in late 2018, the new location will combine employees from current headquarters, located both in Novi and Farmington Hills, Michigan, in a new state-of-the-art facility.

“Today’s groundbreaking not only signifies Hino’s growth in the U.S. but also a new beginning for our operations in the U.S.,” Yoshinori Noguchi, CEO and president of Hino Trucks said. “With sales, distribution, engineering and manufacturing operations all under one roof at our new U.S. headquarters, our ability to manage the phenomenal growth of the Hino Brand in America will be greatly enhanced.

“In that spirit, we are excited to break ground on our new office and collectively work together as one Hino U.S. team,” Noguchi continued. “We are grateful to the state of Michigan, Oakland County and the City of Novi for their partnership as Hino U.S.A. continues to expand its footprint in the United States.”

Hino’s announcement comes as its manufacturing facility in Williamstown, West Virginia celebrates 10 years of medium duty truck production amid exponential sales growth. This 245,000 sq. ft. location produces Hino’s award winning Class 6 and 7 conventional body style trucks.

Since 2007, the annual production rate at the plant has increased by more than 500 percent and the production facility has been expanded and capacities enhanced. Employment there has increased by 400 percent over the past ten years.
