A 30-year-old garbage truck driver was struck and killed by his own truck today in San Diego.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune the man had been setting a dumpster in an alley in La Jolla, “when the runaway truck struck him and trapped him against a wall.”
The man, whose name is being withheld, was taken to a local hospital where he died. California’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health is investigating.
