If you want to learn as much as you can about Ram commercial vehicles then don’t miss a chance to talk with David Sowers.

Sowers, marketing manager of Ram Commercial Trucks, recently spoke with Hard Working Trucks about the 2017 Ram Chassis cab line-up.

In our video below, Sowers covers highlights on Ram’s latest 3500, 4500 and 5500 models.

“We have best in class PTO capability. Number one, because of configurations: We offer right and left hand side PTO on both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. That’s new for 2017. We also have best in class horsepower, so you can drive whatever type of equipment you need to,” Sowers explains.

Engine availability for 2017 includes the 6.4-liter HEMI engine (3500 Tradesman only) and the Cummins 6.4-liter I6 turbo diesel, which is available on all three trucks. A 15,000-mile oil change interval on the Cummins diesel will help keep these trucks out of the shop and on the road longer.

Sowers points out that upfitting comes easy on Ram Chassis cabs thanks to some thoughtful engineering that other OEMs missed.

Want to avoid the regulations that come with running a vehicle over 10,000 GVW? Sowers points out that the 3500 Chassis cab comes in a single, rear wheel configuration that takes the truck to 10,000 GVW and avoids the tangle of additional regulatory requirements.
