FCA is recalling certain 2020 Ram ProMaster and 1500 pickups over concerns of air bag failure.
The side curtain air bag in affected vehicles may not properly inflate during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. The defect has been traced to a diffuser which may detach from the inflator during deployment. About 114 vehicles are believed to be affected.
2020 Ram ProMasterFCA US will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side curtain air bag assemblies, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 14, 2020. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US’s number for this recall is W52.
