Reading redesigns aluminum service body and launches new crane body

Reading Truck Body recently unveiled its newly redesigned Aluminum Classic II service body and a brand new Master Mechanic crane body.

“We understand our customers’ work extends far beyond paved roads and tidy job sites. Their work is gritty and rugged, therefore our truck bodies need to be able to stand up in the harshest conditions,” said Alan Farash, president of Reading Truck Group.

The revamped Aluminum Classic II features a fully redesigned understructure which is rated for up to 19,500 lbs GVWR, more than any other aluminum service body Reading has ever offered. The new body also includes several new industry-leading features and options, like 50-inch raised compartments, CABLOC by Masterack lock-open, lock-close drawers, as well as key fob integration with the OEM chassis.

From the oil field to the construction site, the brand new Master Mechanic crane body, available in the light-weight MM120 and MM220 models, equips class 4–5 chassis with up to 4,000 lbs. of lifting power.

“Our new Master Mechanic crane body is one of the most nimble and versatile you’ll find,” said Farash. “These next-generation bodies are our way of reminding customers and the industry that Reading has the grit it takes to deliver the best work truck bodies on the market today.”

Reading unveiled the Aluminum Classic II and Master Mechanic crane body earlier this month at The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.
