Chelsea 280 Series PTO Boosts Performance, Lowers Maintenance Costs
The Chelsea Products Division of Parker Hannifin showed off a significantly upgraded PTO for medium-duty trucks running CAT or Allison transmissions.
The 280 Series PTO was on display at the 2014 The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.
This new unit offers eight speed ratios, more torque capacity, and kept the size of the PTO unchanged from the previous model. It’s also a self-lubricating wet-spline system, reducing maintenance and down time.
Hardworkingtrucks.Com took the opportunity to interview Chelsea’s Jeff King to get the details of what the new offering brings to work trucks in the way of performance – and how it helps reduce operating costs.
