Ford recalling 2018-2019 Super Duty trucks for defective daytime running lights

2018 Ford F-Series Super Duty Limited
Ford – America’s truck leader – today pulls off the wraps of a new F-Series Super Duty Limited that sets new luxury standards for high-end heavy-duty truckers.

Ford is recalling certain 2018-2019 F-250, F-350 and F-450 Super Duty trucks that may have faulty daytime running lights.

The daytime running lights may not dim when the headlight switch is moved into the ‘On’ position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

Ford has notified owners, and dealers will reprogram the Body Control Module (BCM) software, free of charge. The recall began November 25, 2019. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 19C10.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
