From push buttons to its 12-inch touch screen, the 2019 Ram heavy-duty has plenty of high-tech features designed to make driving safer and more convenient.
We turned to Ram’s chief engineer of heavy-duty trucks, Rod Romain, to help us get more familiar with the bells and whistles, including one of his favorites, the split camera trailer view.
“When you’re backing up a trailer and you want to have an extra view as you’re trying to back along the garage, by the pole barn or down an alley, it really gives you nice extended views,” Romain explains in the video below. “Depending on what your blind side is when you’re backing up, you can move this around to get more views. Between this and your side mirrors it really gives you nice views to be able to make sure where you’re backing up.”
