Bullet Liner Welcomes “The Gunny” R. Lee Ermey

Cartersville, Georgia… October 8, 2010 – Burtin Polymer Laboratories (BPL), the manufacturer and supplier of Bullet Liner® announced that the “Gunny” R. Lee Ermey would be appearing at the Bullet Liner booth #37121 at the upcoming SEMA Show this November 2-5, 2010.

Mr. Ermey is a Golden Globe Best Supporting Actor nominee and Society of Film Critics Award Winner for Best Supporting Actor in director, Stanley Kubrick’s iconic movie Full Metal Jacket. With more than 25 years in the business, he’s one of the most successful and talented actors in film, television and marketing product spokesperson today having starred or appeared in over sixty feature films. Having also starred in numerous telefilms, plus hosted his own show for the History Channel, called Mail Call, which ran for 8 seasons and over 100 episodes, focusing on military technology past, present and future. His newest show Lock N’ Load with R. Lee Ermey can be seen on the History Channel and History International, which continues to educate and discuss the developmental history of weapons and evolution of many important product technologies used by the militaries and defense organizations of today.

Ermey proudly served 11 years active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps. He rose to the rank of staff NCO, serving two years as a drill instructor, plus a tour of duty in Viet Nam. On May 17, 2002, he received an honorary post-service promotion to Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) a rank consistent with his character as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.
