BD Dodge manifolds feature expansion joints that allow the manifold to expand and contract without cracking or exhaust leaks. They are “pulse tuned” to assist in combustion chamber evacuation and increased exhaust flow resulting in quicker turbo spool-up, reduced backpressure, increased power and better fuel economy.
The factory driver’s side manifold on the Chevy Duramax is pinched down for clearance, which isn’t required. As a result, it only flows 80 percent of the passenger side. BD’s Full Bore exhaust manifold restores exhaust flow balance, improving power and reduces EGT’s.
