2012 RAM Cargo Van

At this week’s NTEA Work Truck Show, Ram Trucks unveiled the 2012 Ram Cargo Van – or Ram C/V – designed to handle small business needs. The van has solid side panels, a rear quarter window and backlight privacy panels.

The van provides an 1,800-pound cargo payload and 3,600 pounds of towing capability. The C/V also has a 20-gallon fuel tank and 25 mpg.

The van features a choice of a standard floor with a flat, uninterrupted high capacity surface or an option with through-the-floor access to storage bins and tie downs. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine delivers 283 horsepower and 260 foot-poounds of torque. A driver-selectable fuel economizer mode changes the transaxle shift schedule with the flip of a switch.

The C/V has 144.4 cubic feet of interior storage, with access via the front seats, rear liftgate and dual sliding doors. The interior features a one piece instrument panel with improved ergonomics and redesigned gauges.

Additional features include:

  • Dual zone temperature control
  • Instrument cluster with 120-mph speedometer and tachometer
  • Outside temperature display
  • Overhead console
  • 120-volt auxiliary power outlet
  • 12-volt front and rear DC power outlets
  • AutoStick automatic transmission
  • Audio jack input for mobile devices.

The van is available in four paint colors – Bright Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, Stone White and True Blue Pearl – and will be available in the third quarter of 2011.
