Arctic Cat Enters Crossover segment with 2011 XC450i
The all-new Arctic Cat 2011 XC450i 4×4 ATV is a new entrant into a category Arctic Cat likes to call – “Crossover.”
This growing segment is for consumers who demand the capabilities of 4WD, but also want a sport-inspired ATVwithout the premium price.
Powered by the smooth, consistency of the potent 443cc, SOHC, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, the XC
has the ultimate mid-range performance via Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) that tunes the engine for any temperature, elevation and humidity no matter what the riding condition.
Dominating the trails is effortless via the ultra-tough, featherweight chassis featuring an A-arm independent rear suspension (FIS) and double A-arm front,with 5-way pre-load adjustable shocks and
7 inches of suspension travel. A rear-mounted swaybar keeps the rear of the XC450i planted during
aggressive cornering.
Meanwhile, ground clearance is an industry leading 10 inches so any performance trail rider can tackle gnarly terrain with confidence.
An electronic 2WD/4WD switch on the right hand control makes going in/out of 4WD an easy process while the sport inspired painted bodywork provides ample mud protection and is available in metallic black.
Standard equipment includes attractive, 12-in. cast aluminum wheels, 2-in. “automotive style” receiver hitch with a 1,050-lb. towing capacity, digital instrument pod and Start-In-Gear capability.

- Set the spring preload (5 rear positions, 5 front positions) on the shocks
to tailor the ride to individual riding styles, terrains and loads. - Hi/Lo-Range allows responsive acceleration and engine braking. Transmission
also features start-in-gear to get you going fastere. - Gauge displays critical operation information indicators including:
clock/hourmeter, fuel level,mode button, set/reset button,
odometer/trip, gear position, speedometer/tachometer, needle display,
drive select, high beam, battery condition, temperature and oil pressure. - 2-in. receiver allows the consumer to remove the hitch from their
vehicle’s receiver and install it into the ATV’s receiver hitch. - Other premium features include zero-maintenance suspension bushings,
sealed drive shafts, a large 4.3-gallon fuel tank and durable, full-length
plastic skid plate.
