Truck gets stuck in Seattle tunnel

You don’t want to end up like this guy.

A tractor/trailer hauling an oversized generator became trapped in Seattle’s Battery Street Tunnel on SR 99 Friday, June 2. Media reports say the truck’s load was too tall and got wedged inside the tunnel, causing a massive traffic jam.

Eventually the tires on the trailer were deflated and a tow truck pulled it free. Authorities said the load was properly permitted by the state DOT but not the city’s DOT, which would have provided a different route, according to king5.com. The driver was cited.
