More big rigs went up in flames in West Sacramento over the weekend, leaving investigators to wonder if the trucks were intentionally burned.

Five semi-trucks were destroyed or badly damaged Sunday morning during a fire in the truck yard of SMT Repair Services, according to fox40.com.

“We had a similar type fire in the north part of town off of F Street,” Battalion Chief Scott Pfeifer, of West Sacramento Fire, said.

That fire, which occurred about a month ago in another truck repair yard about three miles away, destroyed four trucks, causing $400,000 in damages.

Amar Singh of SMT Repair Services said he’s waiting to hear back from investigators regarding the cause of Sunday’s blaze, which burned three of the five trucks to the ground.

“If somebody did it intentionally, it’s sad to see people go to that extent, you know?” Singh said.
