A defective fuel hose has led Mitsubishi Fuso Truck to recall certain model year 2012-2015 FEC52, FEC72, FEC92 and FGB72 trucks manufactured between April 8, 2011 to July, 22, 2014.
Those trucks have a fuel return hose that may deteriorate after being exposed to chemicals or lubricants, causing the hose to swell and detach.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that the defective fuel hose poses a fire risk. Mitsubishi Fuso states that they’ve not been notified of any accidents or injuries related to the defective hose, according to NHTSA.
Normal vehicle operation and maintenance may cause the fuel return hose to swell and come off.
Affected truck owners will be notified by Mitsubishi Fuso. Dealers will inspect the fuel return hose and replace it as necessary, free of charge.
Owners may contact Mitsubishi Fuso at 1-877-711-0707 and mention recall number C1008210. The NHTSA campaign number is 15V850000.
