249V Series PTO praised for big output in a small package; winner of The Work Truck Show 2015 Innovation Award
Chelsea 249V PTO for 2015 Ford Super DutyChelsea Products Div. of Parker put all the right combinations of flow performance, hydraulic pressure, torque and RPM range for a Ford Super Duty work truck in the new 249V Series PTO.
So much so that Chelsea’s 249V PTO was voted by a panel of truck fleet managers as the winner of The Work Truck Show 2015 Innovation Award.
Developed for the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, the 249V Series PTO provides best-in-class flow of up to 23 GPM and pressure of 3,500 PSI at 1,200 engine RPM, as well as an unprecedented torque capacity of 200 lb-ft.
It features a single hose connection, and an integrated cartridge valve and pressure switch for easy installation.
“Winning the Innovation Award really validates all the customer and end-user research we conducted while developing this product,” says Jeff King, marketing manager for Chelsea. “At The Work Truck Show, we received a lot of positive feedback about the 249V Series PTO, and the award was icing on the cake.”
The 249V fits both the two-wheel drive, as well as the tighter space restrictions of the four-wheel drive vehicles.
By integrating the noise reduction technology of the 249 Series and the Parker T6C vane pump into the 249V, the product provides flows up to 23 GPM and pressure of 3,500 PSI at 1000 engine RPM.
Chelsea’s new PTO provides users with a 132% increase in flow rates and a 55% increase in pressure. It also features the Noise Suppression System (patent pending) providing a PTO that leads in reduced noise when installed on the new TorqueShift™ 6 Automatic Transmission with the Engine Driven Gear.
