Polaris Adds More Power to the 2015 RZR XP 1000 and RZRXP 4 1000
When the hard hat and safety glasses are swapped out for helmet and goggles, you’re not going to find a faster multi-passenger ATV to ride this year than the 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 side-by-sides.
Polaris Industries says their 2015 RZR XP® 1000 and RZR XP® 4 1000 will have 110 horsepower to dominate the dunes, desert, trails, race track or anything that stands in their way.
The XP 1000 two- and four-passenger side-by-sides were introduced last year to rave reviews. The machine’s suspension, design, power and comfort are all class-leading.
Not content with what they had, Polaris engineers upped the power ante.
“Even though we just launched the RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 last year, we’re always looking to improve upon every aspect of our vehicles’ performance,” said Craig Scanlon, general manager of Polaris Side-by-Side Vehicles.
To achieve 110 horsepower, the 2015 RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 feature a new calibration with high-output cams, stiffer valve springs, new exhaust and a higher compression ratio of 11:1.
To handle the increased power, the 2015 RZR XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 feature new direct flow intake covers, new belt and a new clutch cover with more ducting providing two times more airflow directly to the clutches.
The RZR XP 1000 arrives at dealers in July available in Havasu Red Pearl, Voodoo Blue and White Lightning, and theRZR XP 4 1000 in Havasu Red Pearl and Voodoo Blue.
