Alt fuel ACT Expo rolls out the red carpet for fleets
Will increased private and public investments lure more fleets to all-electric trucks and other alt fuel vehicles?
May 11, 2022
Will more fleets will sign up for alt fuel vehicles? If record attendance at this year's ACT Expo is any indication, they might do just that. Of course, tougher regulations coupled with a federal funding increase of roughly 560% may explain the 60% surge in attendance this year over last. As of Tuesday afternoon, registration had climbed to a record 8,300.

Charging can make or break the Ford F-150 Lightning
Towing took a big chunk out of range in the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. We started out with 288 miles following a 100% charge. After inputting trailer data, range dropped to 164 miles. After hitting the road, range recalculated and left us with 124 miles to tow a 7,000 lb. load. Obviously, if you're regularly towing out of town, you'd have to seriously rethink Lightning. However, it's so inexpensive to fuel this truck and maintain it that you want to make it work, and for some, that could very well happen.
