Toyota is getting plenty of attention on social media this week after releasing an image of its 2024 Tacoma.
While it may be only a rear shot of the nation's best-selling midsize truck, it's stirred up plenty of likes and comments on Facebook. Since appearing on Tuesday, the truck has garnered over 1,200 likes, 331 comments and 97 shares.
Facebook user Paulina Ordonez writes, "I love my 01 Tacoma! Can’t wait to see the new Tacoma. It releases on my birthday!"
While Toyota did not post a release date for the truck, a closer look at the photo reveals the numbers 04042023 on the rear license plate. Facebook user Shane Camp's eagle eye spotted that and more which got him a thumb's up from Toyota.
"You can see the new truck blurred out in the background," he said.
While there is a blurred out truck in the background, it's hard to make out anything that really makes the truck stand out from the prior model year. We've included shots of the 2023 Tacoma below to help with comparisons.
The truck is shot in front of a brick building with a sign that reads Brazilian Patent Office. Toyota titled the picture "Patented good looks..."
