Life for a two-year-old boy stricken with stage four cancer gets better every time a Republic Services trash truck rolls into view in his Washington State neighborhood.

In the video below you’ll see little Isaac Williams light up and call out for his friend Rick as the Republic Services sanitation truck approaches his home in Sammamish near Seattle.

For Rick Neatherlin, the trip is bitter sweet. Both his wife and his mother are battling cancer.

“Man, he’s two years old; never had that chance to even be a kid yet, you know, and to see him go through this,” Neatherlin told khou.com. “That really hit home.”

Last week, Isaac not only got to see his friend Rick, but also another Republic refuse truck driver, Marty. Isaac was presented with a toy truck as his mother stood at his side.

“We’re blessed. We’re very grateful,” said Kelli Williams. “It means the world.”
