Rush Bus Centers picked for 300 unit order

IC Bus has won a bid to deliver 300 CE Series school buses to Columbus (Ohio) City Schools.

IC Bus will deliver the buses through its dealer, Rush Bus Centers, in Columbus, Ohio.

“IC Bus is proud to partner with Columbus City Schools and we look forward to helping them with their student transportation needs for the next school year,” John McKinney, president, IC Bus, says. 

The CE Series buses for Columbus City Schools will be powered by MaxxForce 7 engines and will seat 65 passengers. The buses feature 16-gauge steel side sheets and 19,800-lb. rear axle with a 21,000-lb. air ride suspension.

The buses will be built at the IC Bus assembly plant in Tulsa, Okla. with deliveries beginning in July 2013.
