A new towing product called Weigh-Safe solves those linguring questions whether or not the trailer you are towing is in compliance with factory tow ratings.
More specifically, if the trailer tongue weight is within the capacity limits of both the truck and hitch.
Weigh-Safe measures trailer tongue weight using a special shank that has a strain-guage built into it.
As the tongue weight increases the built-in gauge shows the number in pounds, making it easy to balance the load for a safer tow.
Several models are available including drop-shank applications.
