Riding On Red-Letters & Gun Metal
Just finished having Delta Tire World in Gulfport, MS swap out the stock 2013 Ram 2500HD steel wheels for Dick Cepek’s 17×9.5 Gun Metal 7s.
The alloys weigh about 1/3 that of the OE polished steel wheels that came on the truck.
The new wheels look great with General Tire’s 35×12.50R17LT red-letter Grabbers, which are the perfect compliment to the red lettering on Surveyor 1.
We’ve run the Grabbers before on our 2010 Ram 2500, Big Boss, and their looks and overall performance were outstanding.
From my first impressions thus far, with more than 2,000 miles on them, Surveyor 1 handles the Generals just fine–on and off-pavement. — Bruce Smith/Editor
