Rear Suspension Upgraded
Last week we added Hellwig Products’ sway bar kit and Pro Series overload leaf springs to the rear of Surveyor 1.
Both are easy suspension upgrades for any shop mechanic. Took about an hour under the truck.
Upgraded the Ram 2500’s suspension because we’ve added a lot of top weight with the bed cap and the Truck Vault surveyor insert. Probably 700 pounds.
Not a big load, of course, for a 3/4-ton 4Ă—4.
But enough of a change in it’s center-of-gravity to make the truck a little too “soft” for our liking on winding back country roads.
